I had an old map with the route I had to follow
Every stop, every bend, every stage I had to cover
My compass pointed north; I was ready to go…

I was given tips and clear instructions
I knew for a fact that I had to be cautious
The wind was in my sail, blowing to the goal

And I wonder why I’m in this situation
starving to death and with no direction
I am drifting and I just got the blues

I believed all the lies they told me before setting
I took every step to the promised ending
I did every single thing I was told to do

I could not foretell the mess where I was heading
They try to make me think that I’m bad at understanding
But I refuse to believe it was all my fault.
